Steps to Take to Enter the TIRP |

1 |
Make the decision to become a teacher. |

Each content area requires 24 credit hours (minimum of a 2.6 GPA) OR the passing of the PLACE OR PRAXIS II test* in your content area to be Eligible to enter the program in January or August of each year. Both requirements; however, must be completed prior to the program completion. Click on the links to view. |

APPLICATION PACKET MUST BE COMPLETE EXCEPT FOR THE TEST SCORE.
TRANSCRIPT EVALUATIONS ARE NOT DONE SEPARATELY. An evaluation of your transcript(s) will be completed when your packet has been received. We do not accept faxed, scanned or copied transcripts in your application packet. We do not accept emailed applications. There is no charge for an evaluation. TIRP Staff staff will review your application and an evaluation is completed. You will be notified of the results when your evaluation is complete. |

If you are qualified to enter the program you will receive a Letter of Eligibility from our office. You will use the Letter of Eligibility to apply for teaching positions. |

TIRP staff publishes and sends periodic candidate availability listing to local districts, charter schools, and private schools with your name, content area and phone # to assist you if you are an eligible candidate. |

When you sign a contract for a position as a teacher you are considered to be in the program and will be in the next TIRP class. |
