Each content area requires 24 credit hours (minimum of a 2.6 GPA) OR the passing of the PLACE OR PRAXIS II test* in your content area to be Eligible to enter the program in January or August of each year. Both requirements; however, must be completed prior to the program completion. Click on the links to view.

Submit fingerprints to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (Fingerprint card is required please ask TIRP office for more information)

APPLICATION PACKET MUST BE COMPLETE EXCEPT FOR THE TEST SCORE.
- Your Application and . Make checks payable to: PPBOCES/TIRP or provide a money order.
- Original set of transcripts, please have your transcripts sent to you from your college and include in your packet.
- Any CLEP or DANTES test scores you have passed, if using them to qualify for TIRP
- 3 dated, current (within one year) signed original reference letters.

- All answers to the questions on page two of our application.
- A copy of your PLACE or PRAXIS II test score (*may be submitted later).
TRANSCRIPT EVALUATIONS ARE NOT DONE SEPARATELY. An evaluation of your transcript(s) will be completed when your packet has been received. We do not accept faxed, scanned or copied transcripts in your application packet. We do not accept emailed applications. There is no charge for an evaluation.

TIRP Staff staff will review your application and an evaluation is completed. You will be notified of the results when your evaluation is complete.

If you are qualified to enter the program you will receive
a Letter of Eligibility from our office. You will use the
Letter of Eligibility to apply for teaching positions.

TIRP staff publishes and sends periodic candidate availability
listing to local districts, charter schools, and private schools with
your name, content area and phone # to assist you if you are an eligible
candidate.

When you sign a contract for a position as a teacher you are
considered to be in the program and will be in the next
TIRP class.
