When can I enter the TIRP?
Individuals can enter the TIRP following acceptance by TIRP staff and when they have been offered a contract by an area school district. Upon receiving a contract, the TIRP office will have you fill out an application for your Authorization to Teach from the Colorado Department of Education (approximately $60), and provide CBI with fingerprints (approximately $40). Your initial fee is due at this time. (Please see the Fees link). The application will be supplied to you by the TIRP Office when hired. The TIRP office also has the fingerprint card/instructions that must be used.
The TIRP teacher education curriculum begins in early August and midyear in January.
