Technology/Industrial Arts

The following requirements must be met to be eligible to enter the TIR program in the content area of Technology/Industrial Arts.

Requirement One: 24 semester hours (3sh in each category)

OR

Requirement Two: Passing of the PLACE test #37 in Technology/Industrial Arts

A maximum of 6 credits MAY be approved for Life Experience

Both requirements; however, must be completed prior to the program completion in two years.

A minimum of 3 credits per area:
History of Technical Education and Trends in Technology 
Communications Information
Transportation/Production 
Sciences as Applied to Technology Education 
Math as Applied to Technology Education
Workforce Preparation, Documents, Employability Skills and Standards 
Business & Industry Organizations 
Economic, Political & Legal Consequences
