Documented evidence (from transcripts) of 24 credits of college level coursework from a regionally accredited college or university in each of the areas listed below:

Biology (6 semester hours)
Including lab experience
Chemistry (6 semester hours)
Including lab experience
general, organic, inorganic,
analytical and physical chemistry.
Physics (3 semester hours)
Earth-Space/Environmental Science (6 semester hours)
astronomy, geology, meteorology,
oceanography, mineralogy
Mathematics (3 semester hours)
Life Experience may not be substituted for credits

OR

Passing score on the PLACE Test # 05 OR THE PRAXIS II Test # 10435

If using credits (only) to qualify you must have a minimum GPA of 2.6

NOTE: DISTRICTS REQUIRE THAT CANDIDATES PASS THE PLACE OR PRAXIS II TEST PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT.
