Family and Consumer Studies

The following requirements must be met to be eligible to enter the TIR program in the content area of Family and Consumer Studies.

Requirement One: 24 semester hours

OR

Requirement Two: Passing of the PLACE test #36

A maximum of 6 credits MAY be approved for Life Experience

Both requirements; however, must be completed prior to the program completion in two years.

  • Knowledge of Family & Consumer (6sh)

Studies: Student Organizations, Vocational/Tech Education/Tech Education, Employment Skills and Careers

  • Interpersonal Relationships (3sh)
  • Human Development & Parenting (6sh)
  • Nutrition and Food (3sh)
  • Resource Management/Finance (6sh)
