The following requirements must be met to be eligible to enter the TIR program in the content area of English.
Requirement One: 24 semester hours
OR
Requirement Two: Passing of the PLACE test #07 or the PRAXIS II test # 10041
A maximum of 6 credits MAY be approved for Life Experience
Both requirements; however, must be completed prior to the program completion in two years.
- Literature (9sh)
Examples: American Lit., British Lit., World Lit., Young Adult Lit., Gender/Ethnic Lit., Traditional/Contemporary, Poetry.
- Written Communication (9sh)
Examples: Linguistics, Composition, Grammar, Syntax
- Oral Communication (3sh)
Examples: Public Speaking, Debate, Speech, Interpersonal communication
- Visual Communication (3sh)
Examples: Theater, Film, Multi-Media
