history of PE, human growth & development
Physical & Biological Science Foundation (3 credits)
anatomy, kinesiology,
exercise physiology, health
Movement Fundamentals (3 credits)
gymnastics, tumbling, weight training, dance
Individual Sports (6 credits)
aquatics, rhythm, weight lifting,
wrestling, track & field, tennis, bowling,
golf, badminton, archery, rodeo
Team Sports (6 credits)
baseball, skiing, softball, basketball, lacrosse, field hockey, water polo, flag & contact football, soccer, volleyball
Organization/Evaluation of a P.E. Program (3 credits)
first aid, athletic injuries, health policy, liability, adaptive P.E., rules & officiating
Life Experience may not be substituted for credits
OR
Passing score on the PLACE Test # 32
If using credits (only) to qualify you must have a minimum GPA of 2.6
NOTE: DISTRICTS REQUIRE THAT CANDIDATES PASS THE PLACE TEST PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT.
