Documented evidence (from transcripts) of 24 credits of college level coursework from a regionally accredited college or university in each of the areas listed below:

Instrumental (9 credits))
Wind- french horn, trumpet, flute
String- violist, guitar, string instruments
Percussion- drum, xylophone, piano
Conduction (3 credits)
Vocal and Choral (6 credits)
General Music/History of Music (6 credits)
music composition, music history or
culture, music theory
Life Experience may not be substituted for credits

OR

Passing score on the PLACE Test # 29

If using credits (only) to qualify you must have a minimum GPA of 2.6

NOTE: DISTRICTS REQUIRE THAT CANDIDATES PASS THE PLACE TEST PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT.
