The following requirements must be met to be eligible to enter the TIR program in the content area of Health.

Requirement One: 24 semester hours (A maximum of 6 credits MAY be approved for Life Experience)

OR

Requirement Two: Passing of the Elementary PLACE test #31

Both requirements; however, must be completed prior to the program completion in two years.  

A minimum of 3 sh per category:

Ecology
Examples:  Biological and Behavioral Sciences

Health Issues and Problems
Examples: Drugs, Diseases, Nutrition, Wellness, Controlled Substance abuse

Physical/Psychological Human Growth

Consumer Health
Examples: Health Products, Services, Insurance Plans, Health Care Systems, Health Care Technology

Health Care Careers

School Health Programs

Public Health Issues

Conducive to Safe Living
