ELEMENTARY EDUCATION/SPECIAL EDUCATION

The following requirements must be met to be eligible to enter the TIR program in the content area of Elementary Education or Special Education.

Requirement One: 24 semester hours

OR

Requirement Two: Passing of the Elementary PLACE test #01 or the Elementary
PRAXIS II test # 10014

Both requirements; however, must be completed prior to the program completion in two years.  

The Special Education Generalist Test is taken in the second year of the program.

 

A minimum of 3sh per category:

• English Composition
• Literacy
• Math
• Natural Sciences
• Social Studies
• Arts/Humanities
• Physical Education/Health
• Technology
