Please do not fill out and submit application papers to the Pikes Peak BOCES/UCCS Teacher-in-Residence Program TIRP until after your have taken and passed the appropriate content test. See below for more details on this requirement:

Individuals interested in applying for the Pikes Peak BOCES/UCCS Teacher-in-Residence Program (TIRP) must FIRST take and pass a test over the content associated with the teacher license desired. For example, an individual wanting a mathematics teacher license must take the mathematics content test. After the test has been passed, the application form can be filled out and submitted (see Admission).

If you would like to know if your transcript will qualify for the TIRP prior to spending the money to take either the PLACE or PRAXIS II, see Admission—Transcript Requirements.)

The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) will accept either the PRAXIS II or the PLACE test as fulfilling the requirement for a content assessment. CDE will accept all PLACE tests, but only some from PRAXIS II (see below for the list).
